FLYBE IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR CABIN CREW! Please visit www.flybe.com/careers for more details.
Since October 2007, Flybe has worked with a number of schools and colleges to run an Airline Masterclass. The popular one day Masterclass leads groups of students through a number of activities with the aim being to create their own airline.
The day is led by a Flybe Cabin Crew trainer and assistants. In their groups, students will each have their own role to play ranging from Finance Manager to Marketing Executives. Each group is given a £10 million budget to spend on the start-up of their business to purchase aircraft and operating licences. They must then choose profitable routes and sell seats on their airlines to make money.
If you are interested in Flybe visiting your school to run a Masterclass please visit the Education Business Partnership website at www.devonebp.org.uk.
Flybe receives many calls each year from people wanting to find out about a career with the airline as a cabin crew member. As a result, the Flybe Training Academy now offers the ideal 'hands-on' opportunity during its popular 'Introduction to Cabin Crew' days.
The intensive one day course is held at Flybe's Training Academy based at Exeter International Airport and typically covers an abbreviated Flybe induction, an introduction to safety and emergency equipment, a safety demonstration and introduction to emergencies, slide descent and recruitment hints and tips.
An excellent, interactive and informative day that was professionally delivered and lots of fun. We took GCSE Leisure and Tourism, BTEC Travel and Tourism and A-level Travel and Tourism students. The day was relevant to all courses and really brought the theory into practice and the students thouroughly enjoyed their day. The Clarendon College, Wiltshire.
We found the training really engaging and the delivery was both well organised and extremely professional. Our students left the Training Academy absolutely buzzing about the great day that they had spent at Flybe. Sidmouth College.
Please note that this is not a recruitment day. For Cabin Crew careers please visit www.flybe.com/careers. If you would like to book on to this exciting day then please contact us for further information.

The original launch event in 2008 was the brainchild of Stephen Payne OBE, naval architect of the QE2 and chief naval architect of the Carnival Corporation. The 'Future Engineers' event is intended to introduce young people to the world of Engineering and inspire them into a possible future career. Flybe partnered with the University of Exeter, the Royal Navy and Exeter College in 2009 ,2010 and 2011 to host the hugely successful aeronautical events between two sites - the University’s Streatham Campus and at Flybe’s Headquarters based at Exeter International Airport. The event is designed to appeal to schoolchildren, from years 9/10/11 and their teachers, mainly science and maths.
Students spent half of their day completing various aviation based activities at the University and the other half of their day having a tour of Flybe’s maintenance facilities and completing various Royal Navy static displays. Student feedback has been fantastic with many now considering a career in aviation.
Other Future Engineers events are taking place include the QM2, BAE Systems, Wimbledon, Gifford Engineering, BAA and Paradigm Telecoms. Please visit www.futureengineers.org for more information.
Our work experience programme is currently under review, however please check this page periodically for updates on future opportunities.
